Euro immobilien for newspaper Jutarnji list

In Saturday edition of the newspaper Jutarnji list (Morning Times), on June 28th, 2014 a big article on the real estate market on the island of Krk was published. Mr. Denis Sikljan, director of the real estate agency Euro Immobiien talked about the reasons of popularity of the island of Krk, clients who are buying real estate and the most attractive real estate and sites on the island of Krk.

The most interesting parts of the article:

About attractive destinations

Opatija is still the most exclusive location in the area of Kvarrner, however in Opatija there is a problem of micro location because all the real estate which are available on the market are quite far from the sea and city downtown. That's why many buyers prefer buying a property on the island of Krk, especially in the attractive western part – in the cities of Malinska and Krk - because there they can find a good micro location of the real estate situated in the first or second row from the sea.

About buyers and demand

In the times of economic crisis, the market has lost its average buyer and now there is a great interest in undervalued real estate i.e. real estate of cheaper price range, the ones which the clients with lower income can afford. On the other hand, the market of luxury real estate has experienced the largest growth.

Investments in such real estate proved to be the best option because the clients with high income practically did not experience the economic crisis and they continue spending money on expensive real estate in excellent locations. Most wanted are quality, luxury two-bedroom apartments that are closer to the sea, in the first or second row. These are mostly two-room apartments, and the most important factors are view and proximity of the sea.
